'One can have too much of sea air jeeves, gets into the brain...very true sir. I think we have moved into what might be termed damage limitation territory. Undoubtedly we will lose ground this week, but of course it's just a question of how much. So this morning I rowed until it became ineffective in the freshening breeze from the east. Then I streamed out the biggest sea anchor to try and slow our drift but still we are inexorably heading the wrong way and for now there is nowt I can do. So bof. However the outlook is bleak weatherwise. On the upside I have fishing gear, a library of books, plenty of music, letters and your wonderful emails to keep me entertained, plus limitless sea air and panoramic views and the food aint bad either.... I spent a few hours making a video update this afternoon only to find it was going to take 6hrs to upload it on our satelite link - to send a 1min video! So you'll have to wait a little longer for that as I shall send it back piecemeal to Global Row HQ, South Kensington, London. Although thinking about it, may be quicker to snare one of these albatrosses and have him deliver it by hand, or perhaps put it in a bottle... So frustration is being kept at bay and we are all hoping for a change of weather asap - it has been suggested to sacrifice some of my precious whisky supply to them old Gods - steady on methinks, things are'nt thhat bad yet! Perhaps peanuts - got loads of them....posted by Olly Hicks @ 4:09 AM
