Hope and Homes

Hope and Homesbegan in 1994 under Colonel Mark Cook when he left his job as UN Commander in Croatia after promising to help 60 children living under bombardment in the cellar of their destroyed orphanage. The mission of Hope and Homes ‘is to give hope to children worldwide who have nowhere to live due to war or disaster, by providing them with loving family homes’. Hope and Homes presently works in 14 European and African countries to provide homes and families for over 7,500 orphans or abandoned children. Their work varies from country to country, from closing orphanages in Romania to supporting AIDS orphans in Africa.
